Most videos have sound so click the musical note icon in the lower right to hear it.  Each video will loop if you miss parts of it.

This is why we ask swimmers to ask questions, watch others at meets, be curious, and be "students of the game".  This is Brendan Hansen, Olympic Gold Medalist and Coach.
This is why we use the first three strokes of a race to establish our good technique and not "spin our wheels".  (Brendan Hansen again.)
Have we made this a habit yet ??
Please review this Freestyle video explaining EVF and why you look down and not forward when swimming Free.
This video shows how COMPLETLY STILL your head should be when you swim Freestyle.  Your body rotates....your head does not.
This shows the same thing but also demonstrates the
"ONE-GOGGLE IN - ONE GOGGLE OUT" breathing. That allows you to do the Front Quadrant rotation properly.

And THIS is a photo of Front Quadrant Freestyle.  Your hand hesitates slightly until your recovering arm reaches your head.  (2-touch drill)
This is a video of an Australian national coach explaining how its done.

BACKSTROKE VIDEOS

This is Gary Hall, three time Olympian, explaining Backstroke.  (Remember to click the sound icon at the lower right.)
Rotation and kicking are critical.  Keep your "armpits dry" on rotation.

Breaststroke Videos

Watch the different styles of the next few videos.  They ALL have the same things in common!  A fast "squeeze and shoot", FAST HEEL RECOVERY to get into your kick faster, and a head that lowers (not slams) into the water so the hips can come up for a good streamline. Remember to click for sound.
Here is the Breast pullout.  Count "Three elephant, two elephant,
one elephant"
